    Image was created in the Jan,2015. Highly cropped image.

    Basic editing, curves and levels to whole image.

    ISO: 200, 1/1000 @5.6. Manual settings. 550d, 100-400 mm.

    Hi Satish, lovely pose, and I like the hint of the feathers on the bill. The IQ is not quite there in this - is it a large crop. I also feel you need to run some NR on the BG, which for ISO 200 shouldnt be there.

    i agree that this is not your normal fine IQ with the noise, but this is a nice subject that a few tweaks would fix....

    Yes, the heavy crop did indeed affect the image's IQ. I like the feathers in the bill telling the story of a preening bird.

    The IQ is damaged by the close crop. The detail seems to be holding up so I'd experiment with a composition that allows for as much of the bird as possible.
