    Not sure where to post this lizard. Not exactly macro or flora, nor bird, nor wildlife as generally thought of. Please move if it should be somewhere else.

    Photographed in the spectacular Danum Valley in Borneo. When there are no primates around there are lots of interesting smaller things to photograph. This lizard is endemic.

    Canon 1DX, Canon 200-400 f4L IS with 1.4 internal ext @ 381mm, E-TTL flash, tripod, 1/160, f4, ISO 1250.

    love the lizards, saw some good ones in Nevada this spring. Nice focus and habitat capture.

    You got a great look from the lizard, its showing some personality. Love the spines on the back. Amazing place! Given the low light you couldn't have gotten that rear foot in the dof, unfortunately.

    Thanks Willie & Ron. In addition to the rear foot not in focus, the tail was hidden behind that leaf. I tried to move just a bit but the lizard scurried around the tree. This lizard is also known as a Borneo Forest Dragon. I think dragon is overstating it a bit!
