    Taken on grouse moor in the Forest of Bowland area,dont know if this bird will be about ,after Wednesday the Glorious12th,grouse shooting starts here in the Uk.cannon500mm IS,L,F4,1/4EXT,tripod,5D MK111,ISO1250,1/1000S,F5.6,crop,sharpened for web,some color balance.

    I like this, Chris. Lovely pose and sense of habitat and the plumage patterns and colours are great. I like the space you have given it but I think it could work as a slightly tighter crop too. I hope it survives the 12th!

    I like the crop it shows plenty of the habitat, Grouse looks good and relaxed don't know how long for, nice shot Chris.

    Hi Chris, love the detail and colours on the grouse, and you managed a great pose. Well placed in the frame, and you show the surrounding enviroment nicely.
