This adult loon was captured in June in Northern Michigan. I liked the pose with it looking back towards its mate. A still morning with smooth water.

    Advice and comments always appreciated.

Beautiful image Randy! I like the tilt of the head, water reflection lines, water color, IQ, exposure and iridescence. Comp wise I would add a little up top and behind the Loon but that is personal preference.

Quite a treat to open up this image. My favorite part is how the refection perfectly lights up the eye and face of the bird.

Excellent work all round here Randy. I envy you and your loons to an extent where it is has almost become a psychiatric condition

Unique pose. I love all your Loons, but it's nice to see something a bit different. Beautiful tones on the head, and gorgeous water colors.

Love your loons but I envy your smooth water. The few times I have been on the pond this month the water has been a bit choppy.
