Although their plumage is not spectacular, mockingbirds are among my favorites, because of their personalities and songs. And I thought that the buds on this spruce tree complemented this bird nicely.

All C&C are as always welcome.

Agree with you Norm the cones on the spruce complements the bird nicely, I like the look back pose, feel like chopping off that cone in front of the tail, wouldn't it be lovely if our birds did everything we would like, bit boring I suppose ,a smashing image that I like a lot.

Good job, Norm. Love the pose and the eye detail. Spruce with cones is great. I think a case could be made for cropping from the top throught the top 2 cones on the right to lift the bird in the frame. Would also consider burning in the bright tones in the foliage and cones a little.

I like the pose, HA and perch. I would run NR on the BG and fix the cloning marks in the top right corner. Nice image Norm.

I agree with Jim, background needs a bit of work. Regards, Ian

I like your composition here Norm. I am more forgiving with noise than most and it does not bother me here. I admire anyone who can carry a Sigma 300-800....I would struggle
