    Another blast from my past.

Little Stint image created at a coastal lagoon in Norfolk. The little Stint is our smallest wader and about the same size as a House Sparrow. A rare occasion when I had no complaints about the weather
circa 5% crop to level/straighten image

Canon 20D, Sigma 500f4.5. I made a sequence of images some of which were hand held with the ground supporting my elbow and some using a tripod. I do not know what precise method I used here.

    ISO200, f5.6, 1/1600 sec.

Slight levels adjustment, small tweak in saturation and sharpened.

I'm glad you are getting out John. I'm getting out about once every six weeks and even then I'm being dragged out. I look forward to your wading bird images.

Nice image, great that you can see the eye, Adrian. Love the ripples encircling the bird.
I miss Shorebirds lately as we are running out of places that we would find them during migration due to habitat loss and
    other conditions.

Nice exposure control, especially holding some details in the whites. I especially enjoy the fine feather details on the back of the stint. Having that eye and catch light solidify a nice image.

Very nice IQ, great exposure. The visible eye with the nice catch light make this one a keeper. Well done.

Handsome capture, with good detail, nice ripples; and of course you caught the perfect moment with the eye showing, without which it wouldn't work. I could imagine a version in pano crop, cutting out about half of the reflection which, IMHO, doesn't contribute much.

Adrian very well done keeping the eye just at water level, the water and just a hint of reflection also looks good, bird is spot on!

Excellent image. Beautiful colours, very nice pose with eye just above the water, beautiful water ripples and superb composition.

I like it, Adrian... nice image. To me, the eye showing makes the image. Lovely colors and composition. Thank you for sharing.

I like the exposure, details, water color, visible eye and ripples really add to the image. Very well done Adrian!
