Gorgeous light makes him golden. Great singing pose. Pink blossoms are well positioned with him in between. (They do tend to draw the eye away from the beautiful little wren.) Extremely sharp detail, almost to the point of crunchy.

Great capture, Tim. Early morning light creates a beautiful IQ. I agree with Bill re the pink blossoms. I would tone them down for they add a nice BG quality.

Would certainly keep the pink blossoms they really add to the bg, but maybe a tad softer, lovely little bird in a nice singing pose, nicely caught.

All in all a superb capture of this bird in full song. The pinks are competing but I still like them. The bird in my humble opinion is a touch over sharpened and you should still have plenty of detail with less sharpening. I love the perch!

    Tim:

Lots of great comments above. I tend to agree with toning down the flowers just a bit, and backing off on the sharpening a bit.

The pose and perch are very nice.

    Cheers
