    This is very nice Chris.
I like the environment and the way you were able to get an unobstructed view of the curlew. You even managed a view of the feet!
Bird is nicely isolated against the grasses.
IQ is excellent and good POV.
I like the little yellow flowers but wish that the biggest and brightest yellow one wasn't so close to the curlew's back. It pulls the eye away from the curlew.
If this was mine I would clone it out or move it somewhere else in the frame.
    Well done,
    Gail

Great capture Chris. Very 'natural' looking frame with great detail on the bird and a lovely BG

The image quality and detail appears outstanding and the bird shows very well and is perfectly placed in frame. Nice work.

Great details, lighting and bird position including the head angle. I like the looser crop here to show all the nice grassy habitat. Great image and once again curlews for the August TOTW win!!

A very English shot Chris.. They are quite common around here now in habitat like this. Good to see hay meadows too.
    Nice one.

I like it too. Very nice habitat depiction. Good comp, colours. I noticed the yellow flower too, and would be tempted to remove or move as per Gail, and I would also remove the lime green grass blade growing out of the curlew's head. All else looks A-1!
