    Default Lion at Chobe NP

We saw a pride of 10 lions at Chobe, resting in shade under a tree. Most of them were lazing and sleeping and they were close together so no chance of getting a clean BG. Some of the little ones were quiet thin and looked famished. I liked the somber mood this lioness showed. The other two juveniles in the BG were quiet OOF so I did not clone out anything. I liked the detail I got and the eye contact.

Hi Sanjeev a very fine portrait with loads of nice fine detail which i quite like ...... processing does look great .
Lovely overall color and tones . Love the amber eyes !!!!
I might try to up the exp by + 0,3 ev ..... but use a mask for a more targeted output and see how it looks .

Good work Sanjeev , TFS Andreas

    Hello Sanjeev,

Awesome portrait of this lioness and I too love those amber eyes, wonderful colours and textures and sharpness is there. As well as detail overall.

I just have to ask you to take a closer look at the chin and muzzle of this menacing girl, just below the little fly , could be something to do with the selection or masking when you did the sharpening or blurring the BG.

Superb capture my friend, reminds me of my Kalahari lions!

    Have a lovely week-end,

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
