I like the raised wing position and the sharp details on your bird the area around the eye is perfect; nice and clear, nice and sharp...:) The reflection is dead on...congrats...:D For my taste, I would suggest on givng this fellow a wee bit more room at the top; just in case he wants to take off...:D:p:)
Nice lens Susan !!!! I like it a lot. Good pose and managed detail around the eye. Ideally you want the wings fully up but this is very good with the reflection .
For the whites might try a couple of thing, they are so close. Duplicate layer and multiplying or just clone some texture in the area !!!! Looking good !!!! btw I'm going to check out some of these fairly close by !!!!
Wonderful timing Susan and very nice exposure on a difficult subject. I too would like to see a tad more canvas on top but love that you were able to get the full reflection. Congratulations on this fine image.
