My wife and I arrived on South Uist, Outer Hebrides, late yesterday afternoon and it has mostly rained since we arrived. We went out early this morning for a drive about, when she spotted the owl hunting on grasslands in front of a loch. I parked the car in a passing place and managed to get a few shots. It's to be sunny for a while tomorrow

    Thanks for looking.

    Will:

Hope you do in fact get some useful weather on your trip.

Nice small in frame composition, excellent display of dorsal wing surface. Well exposed.

The area around the tail seems rather soft.

    Cheers

Hi Will. Well done!. Nice to have a co-operative missus! Hope its drier for you than it was for me. I used to know the warden on Uist many years back. Very nice man. Mind you they were in those days !
    Cheers

Hi Will, great banking angle, intense stare below, and nicely separated from the BG. Hope the weather will be kind to you.
