    A superb species and one that I'm glad to have seen. You have not mention the shutter speed. I like images with the bird looking over the shoulder.

    You have caught this one with a nice backward looking pose ,bird fits well onto the soft bg,very nice work.

    Thanks guys

    I did not want to over-do any processing, particularly over saturation or vibrance

    the light was quite soft and these are the birds natural colours

    (PS - just added - but it would be interesting to hear what everyone thinks about how the image could be processed)

    I was just going to suggest adding a bit of saturation before reading your quote Not much, perhaps 6-8 points of it. I love the low angle, head turn, and bits of green vegetation.
