This was shot from the same location as my Gentoo was in my post yesterday. Neko harbour, Antarctica. Same high key effect with the OOF snow looking like mist.
Natural light, Manual exposure, 1DX, 200-400 with EXT at 560mm, f/8, 1/2000, ISO320, cropped about 40%. Small exposure adjustments in LR.
    Hope you like...

Beautiful shot with that dreamy quality coming through. I like the details obtained, nice work. The only thing I'm a little undecided on is the head angle, with the left eye not being visible - I think it would be a little stronger if the head was turned a bit more, either way would work.

Thanks Mike. I agree that the head angle isn't the best, I would have liked more turn in either direction as you say.

    Dear Geoff,

I am becoming a fan of your "misty" frames, LOL!

Like this one too, very much, despite the head angle which isn't ideal. But there's something so fresh and clean and crisp about this image, love the way this little chap almost disappears in the snow and the crop/ presentation is superb.

Well exposed and some nice detail, I like your PP work, really enjoyed viewing and will look out for your future posts, TFS!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Nice image, good detail and sharpness, Know what they mean about head angle but for me this gives a feel of the bird hunkering down in an icy wind.

The head angle works just fine. With both eyes you get a different emotional content. This is a dream shot....love it!

Technically about perfect, pose is fine, I might have had more at bottom, less at top....
