Hi Gerhard - Nice control of the dappled light and good exposure. I like the sleeping pose. As with leopards in trees, its always difficult to avoid other branches and while the branches in the bg are distracting they are part of the natural scene. Nice detail. I would prefer a bit more room on the left and a bit more sharpening of the nose and mouth area.

Hi Gerhard -- cute looking Koala ! As Rachel said u have nicely handled the light, needs a bit of sharpening and surely nothing can be done of the branches unless u would like to clone them out. TFS!

    Hello Gerhard!

Love this snoozy character and what a delightful pose, he seems so relaxed and enjoying his nap up there!

I too think you handled the lighting conditions exceptionally well, this is indeed well exposed and processed and some lovely detail on the subject.

I love that patch of light on the Koala's face, it adds a certain optimism to the whole frame and some emotion too - I can understand why you found this so special and worth capturing.

Thank you so much for sharing, I too great pleasure in viewing and really hope you have more to share in the Wildlife Forum:)

    Kind regards,

    and lekker slaap

Hi Gerald a nice typical Koala pose , at least you have one eye slightly open .
You controlled the difficult light situation quite well ,with a good result of tone/detail in the HL and SH. Nice overall color palette .
You remember me of thinking about to revisit this wonderful place on earth .

    Hi Gerhard.
Nice one despite the challenges as mentioned above. I strongly agree with Rachel on wishing for more space on the LHS.

PS: Given your name and surname, can I presume you are an ex Saffa?
