Another from my Chobe river series. I liked how the ele extended his head all the way up to drink up giving me some nice eye contact.

Hi Sanjeev - Another image from the river that works very well. Looks like the light was a bit more harsh but you handled it well with nice detail and texture, even in the shadows. Any chance you pulled back a little more for some that include the whole shadow?

I have seen the elephants along the Chobe River and your images are wonderful reminders of the thrill of seeing these magnificent animals up close just going about their daily lives. The eye is so small and deeply protected that it is indeed a challenge to get a view for eye contact. I like the details of this from the tip of the shiny wet toes up to the head with the curled trunk and that one tusk nice and sharp and just catching the light against the part of the head in shadow.

Hi Sanjeev well handled light situation of the drinking elephant , nice POV and it looks like he/she is checking you out while drinking .
Nice details in the HL and SH areas . I like the colors and the overall comp.
For me the sharpening is a fraction too much , try to reduce the white fringe as i showed you in the past .I would also try to give the HL a bit more exp i.e. - 15 and see how that looks .

    Hi Sanjeev

Love the pose, and the shining toe nails!
    Agree with Andreas on sharpening.
I am just wondering about F8 with 188mm, the sharp in-focus area is about 6m..Would have liked a softer BG...
    Regards

    Andre.
