About the only thing I,ve done this year. - been incapacitated with a nasty skin problem. Hene lack of input this year- I appologise for that- everyone looks like they,ve been busy and I missed all the fine days !
I reckon this shot needs a little more "guts"- see what folks think

    Hi John,
Well I like the shot. Fine details and I like the bird resting on the tip top of the branch.

Very sorry to learn that you have been 'incapacitated' John, we missed you. A little mid-tone contrast on the bird would fix it IMHO. Best wishes, Ian.

I like the image the way it is. Great looking bird, nice details and pleasing background. Hope you will do well for the rest of the shooting season.

A very nice portrait indeed John. I'd whack the contrast up by +10.
I'm sorry you have not been well and sincerely hope that you have made a recovery. Keep clicking young man

Hope you get better soon!! Beautiful subject and I love how it is posed atop the small perch. Yes to a bit more contrast, and I'd blend out the oof streak touching the breast. A head angled a few degrees our way rather than away would have been top. Well composed image.

Beautiful capture ,nice detail, like the BG,agree a bit more contrast, bit more head turn would have been the icing on the cake, but still wish it were mine.TFS.

Really nice image of a fav. bird of mine. Nice of him to pose so well for you. I would just clean up the bill a little taking those bits of food off. Hope you are mending well and look forward to some more shots from you.
