    Default Out on my own

From this AM (6/2) here on the coast of Maine. Piping Plover chicks (3) all legs and head were feeding at sunup. This is a monster crop even with this framing. Did not want to get too close and have them get separated from the adults. The chicks were all over the place never still a moment. 1dm3, 1.4x on 500m, 1/1600 at f5.6, oneshot, ME iso200. Bob

    Hi Bob,

Lovely composition. The shadow really makes this image very artistic. Looks a little dark in my monitor but very nice for sure!

Very cute! I'm not sure if it is the lines in the sand fooling my eye or if the image is slightly tilted.

    very intimate image Bob....it "speaks"

agree it is a bit dark, may be tilted a bit but I think dof line shows it is pretty true to level

guys, the beach at this point on the edge of the river is steep so it is hard to find level. As to the darkness maybe someone could show me on a re-post, could be my CRT. Bob

Not easy to focus on these little fuzz balls but you nailed it.

    looks level to me Bob

Tried a quick level adj and a bit of local contrast enhancement(USM @ 6/50/0)....notice how much the histo moved to the high side. Minor adj, but a big difference

That'll do it to ya' everytime, Bob :) Very nice work creating this image, and thanks for taking the time to share those adjustments, Dave. Levels are easy enough to adjust... You nailed all the stuff that really counts, Bob. I'm very happy that you kept the shadow in the frame, if it were cut I think it would reduce the impact of the image.
