    Default Scruffy Egret

Driving through the nature reserve close to my house, Im always on the look out for this type of Scenario - Egrets riding on Zebra's. This Cattle Egret is in full breeding colours, but ever so scruffy. Taken early morning. The BG's at this location are just as good as Pilanesberg National Park.

Beautiful Stu. Great detail throughout, and what a perch The comp to me, is perfect. The lighting is so sweet, I think, if I lived there, I would be goin out for early morning drives, before breakfast, every morning Great capture.

Hi Stu, 'what a perch' indeed Will, that's a corker Stu, I like the contrast of the natural BKG & the graphic element of the stripes well seen. I might loose the blades of grass on the LHS so you have that 'seamless' backdrop.

Yup, show me something that is not perfect. A very unique and lovely image. Thank you for sharing, Stu.

Hi Stu - Well seen and captured with a fabulous bg (again). Nice control of the exp and the comp is great. The scruffiness adds to the charm.

    Rachel

Sometimes get a bit bored with pristine birds although I know they have there place, scruffy is just fine, love that perch and BG, cracking shot Stuart.

Ditto the grasses in LLC, and I would have liked a bit better head angle. All else is top notch, from the perch, to the BG, colours, and processing.
