Well this one was definately worth getting up early for Gail. The light is perfect. Details on the bird, and perch are lovely, and what a killer BG. Great POV, pose and HA. Very well done, great work

Gail I love to try and photograph Snipe even though as you know they can be difficult, very nice pose and that perch is smashing, lovely Bg to set it all off, you must be pleased with this I know I would be.

Beautiful pose, perch, background, light, detail. All good, but the brightness of the brightest spots jumps out at me. Don't know if they might have been tamed a bit in RAW conversion.

Hi Gail, lovely light, which in turn has brought out the colours so well. Sharpness spot on, and I like the angled walking pose up the rocky lichen covered 'perch'. Love the distant OOF BG.

Everything looks good Gail (fantastic perch and BG)...but next time tell Mr. Wilson to get up to the top of the perch!

I would be stoked to have gotten a frame this good of the elusive snipe. This is why I get up early almost every time I shoot, the light!! Look what it does for the subject. It creates tons of color and detail. The interesting colorful perch and that sweet BG color really make for a beautiful frame.
As Daniel mentioned it would've been great if he walked all the way up to the top of the perch butt this looks pretty nice as is. Nice work Gail
