A rather 'chubby' female arctic fox. The vertical grey shadows in the BKG are trees, I deliberately left them in as it looked to 'clean & sterile' and the image need something, or perhaps I have just got used to the image.

Thanks to those who viewed or posted a comment on the previous thread.

Hi Steve -- Lovely Portrait of this beautiful creature !! liked ur idea of leaving the greyish shadows in the BKG looks fine to me,i also liked the yellowish tinge in the coat of the fox ! Lacks the sharpness though , usually ur images looks much more crisp thn this one !! TFS

Good call Hasseb, as we are often being told, 'men cannot multi task' and this illustrates it well . Hopefully this will address the issues.

    Thanks

Hi Steve - Beautiful portrait of the fox and I too would leave the trees in the bg. The rp definitely looks much better. There's a little bit of grittiness that isn't usually present in your posts, maybe reduce the blacks in the whites slightly. Still retains all that detail but loses the grittiness.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Probably rushing Rachel, I added a micro midtone Contrast (seriously, there is a micro adj) which may have pushed the blacks, this is why I hate Contrast!!!! It's never the right way to do things. If I have time I'll just go back into the LR/PS file and tweak it, thanks.

Lovely Fox Steve, very nice looking whites and composition. The RP has addressed the issue raised by Haseeb. Nicely done.

    Beautiful image, Steve

I like the pose very much, the fox seems to be lost in thought and you have captured so much expression from her. Was she perhaps "chubby" as in "pregnant", I wonder? I can only imagine how lovely the cubs would be:)

I was about to mention the sharpening but then saw it has been sorted, love the RP with so much detail in the fur, this is well framed and I am glad you retained those faint trees in the BG. Lovely colours (I especially like that faint pinkish tinge at the corner of the muzzle), all in all a superb capture displaying so many beautiful features of the species - I enjoyed viewing, very much.

    Have a wonderful evening,
    Gabriela Plesea
