Hi Frank, like the bird pose with prey. Good capture, POV, DOF and BG tone. If mine I would cut a bit from LS. TFS.
Cheers,

Very nice frame. Lovely details and sharpness on the bird. The 'different' coloured BG blending in with the rest of the image looks cool. Nice one.

Hi Frank, the BG is what makes this image special and the prey item is a big bonus. Is it just me that I'm thinking the image is just a bit soft? With the 1DX, you certainly could have shot this image at ISO-800 or even ISO-1600 to keep your SS up. Loi

Yes I like it, the background is really unusual and that is a big lugworm I am guessing.

I'm loving the bird and its meal but I swim against the tide of opinion regarding the background. I feel it is too overpowering for a bird that is , relatively speaking, not well lit. The actual capture and exposure etc. are fine.

Hi Frank, lovely low angle, striking colour to the BG, and what a fair size meal the Plover managed.

Bright backgrounds are always tough to work with, but for me, this one works fine, probably due to such strong interest in the main subject with that ridiculously large meal!

@all, thank you.
Now, I reduces the background color and some more light on the bird.
