Hi Jonathan, I like the rich light here and having a darker BKG helps to provide both separation & 'pop' to the subject. I might consider removing the three diagonal blades of vegetation as I find them a little distracting and a quick fix, likewise the lighter blue highlights top left, but just personal tastes I would go for more SS, certainly here you had the ISO and I think the image would be 'critically' sharper IMHO.

Might take a little bit off the bottom Jonathan just above your name ,your Owl pops beautifully against that dark Bg,hunting moment very well caught, these Owls are certainly doing it for you.

Jonathan, lucky for you to see a barn owl in flight in good light. I'm with Steve on the SS. Wish for the owl to be a little larger in the frame, but understand you don't have much choice here. TFS. Loi

Jon, you had some good light here for sure..looks like this one starts hunting early. I like the environment and the dark BG, so the bird nicely stands out of the image. Well done.

I like the composition as is. Excellent feel of the habitat here. I agree with Steve about the three grass below, and if mine I'd also be tempted to tone down or remove the brighter "streak" of the BG that touches the far wing as it tends to grab the eye (at least mine anyways!). Good mood overall here.
