...and a whole one at that! This was a week ago when he was very busy feeding growing youngsters.

Canon 7D2, 300mm f/2.8 IS + 1.4X III. ISO 800, 1/2500, f/6.3. One minor adjustment in LR to lighten shadows, then into PS for very slight touches of NR, Detail Extractor and sharpening -- nothing heroic, no masking.

A well executed shot and superb image. I might just give the fish's head a bit more contrast to just increase the definition on the face but it is no big deal. Nice work:)

Nice flight shot, excellent shooting angle, the fish is a great bonus, Diane.

Like the way the light shows through the tail, nicely exposed and sharp, fish looks pretty good also.

Oh yeah, super nice! I like Adrian's suggestion, but boy that is a very good Osprey image. Good job lightening the shadows.

Thanks, guys! I will tweak the studio lighting on the face -- good idea. My many trips to this osprey nest have given me many images that I'm very pleased with. But a sad story played out there a couple of days ago, which I posted in Story Sequences.

One of the best osprey with fish images I've seen. And yes! A whole fish! Excellent details, bird and fish positions, processing..... You NAILED this!
