    Tripod Canon 1DX Canon 180mm macro & 1.4TC III ISO 800, 1/250 sec f16 ring flash
    As you will guess this was a set up. The grass stem was held in place over water by two clips, this prevents the ants from walking off. The background is a print of the lawn out of focus.

    Like the position of the ant, composition, frame and light. If mine I would try to add a bit of mid contrast or/and a bit more of vibrance. TFS.

    Very interesting behavioral shot. I like the patterns in the stem as well as the details in the subjects. Nicely executed!

    This is a clever setup, Jon, with an excellent result. If mine, I'd crop a little off the left and add some space on the right, to move the subject more off center.
