    Default Osprey Flight Stare.

This individual circled a nest twice before landing in it, and I was fortunate to get this frame where it was aligned perfectly down-the-barrel with the lens while it arced around.

Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/2000s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, added canvas at right (I almost clipped the wing tips there), then cropped for composition, lightened the shaded eye, and under the wing judiciously.

Hi Daniel, nice light in the under wings, works well, likewise the eye contact, also nice wing angle as the Osprey glides by. The blue of the sky off sets the subject well and the depth helps to add some pop.

Gorgeous -- they do like to stare down photographers!
