Taken last night on a very rare cloudless sky nearing sunset, this is a natural perch used by both the male and female ...canon 1D MKIV 300MM F4 at 5.6 ISO 800 1/1600 sec handheld =1/3 EV Name: Owl-at-sunset-(1-of-1).jpg

Dennis, this is awesome. I like the light, the HA, sharpness and the prey item is a bonus. I would prefer just a little more space above the owl if possible, otherwise this is superb.

Very nice sunset lit image. Lovely colours. The owl looks so proud with the capture. A little more room on top for me aswell

Awesome light!! I also like the angle you got on the owl. I like how it is showing off the freshly killed prey. Yes to more space above (and for me, less below, perhaps cropped to just above the whitewash spot). I'd also be tempted to darken the blacks on and on the eyes and eyerings. I take it from the displaced feathers that this is the same individual as before?
