Captured in Tarangire NP, Tanzania, 5 April 2015. The bird was waiting at a kill to come down to feed although, judging from the crop, it had already had its fill earlier in the morning.

Manual, spot metering, spot AF, AI servo, f/9, 1/640 sec, ISO 500.
Processed with DPP4 and PS Elements.

Thanks for looking, critical feedback welcome and appreciated.
    Kind regards, Ian.

If a vulture can be lovely this is a lovely image. The bird appears so menacing, the talons and beak. The colors of the bird are complimented by the perch and background. In Florida we have Turkey Vultures and Black Vultures. Wonderful image, thank you for sharing.

Brilliant capture, Ian. A great looking specimen represented here, and the IQ is wonderful, with beautiful light and great detail. You couldn't have asked for a better perch or BG.

Lovely image. Lots of details, good pose and headangle and BG works very well

If it eats any more that crop will burst!

    Thanks for sharing
