    Default Bald Eagle

One of my infrequent attempts at an Avian image. Taken this past winter in Yellowstone along the Madison River as this eagle took off, late afternoon on a day that saw all sorts of weather including overcast skies and a trace amounts of snow. Maybe technically a bit too much contrast for a traditional high key image but hopefully it still qualifies.

    C&C welcome and appreciated. Thanks,

Looks pretty good to me Rachel. Must have been a long shot but you have managed to capture just enough feather detail under the bird despite shooting against the sky. Contrast looks OK. Well done, regards, Ian.

Hi Rachel, great having you pop in to the Avian forum, and participating in the theme too. Well timed for the take off, and I like the V of the wings. Exposure looks good, and the Eagle pops nicely against the high key BG.

Excellent image. Spectacular take off. Very nicely composed.
Love the stretched talons and full up wings.

    Regards,
    Satish.
