Hi Chris, nice clean portrait and the soft, muted colours of the BKG highlight the subject well. Like the posture and eye contact. What are the white 'patches' on the stone wall, in an ideal world I wish they weren't there.
Hello
I like it ..the shoot is very kindly and for me no problem for white patches on the right.
Different for the other on the low because it is cutted ..but cropping could be problem because you will cut the other.
A bit too much central position..but the shoot is vertical and a portrait
Hi Chris a very nice and solid good LO portrait .
A nice perch even if the lichens are a bit bright , as i do think the whole stone is a bit light and too contrasty in the lights .
I think if you process the stone separately with lower contrast and multiplied HL it would look bit better, from my POV.
Still a pleasing shot well worth to experiment .
Hi Chris, love the cozy pose from the Owl, together with the eye contact. This fellow looks pretty small. The shape of the rock/perch looks good, and you have a lovely smooth BG too. I would blend in the lighter area URC.
Thanks for looking and comments everybody,Hi Steve, the white bits are part of the environment on the walls round here,as far as I know it is a type of lichen, hope this helps,Andreas, thanks for your suggestions.
