I captured this image a couple years ago along Black Point Wildlife Drive in Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Merritt Island, Florida. I recently worked on the image for this month theme. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

P.S I forgot to add Theme to the title, would one of the moderators please do so. Thank you.

I would have cropped a little more from the upper right, but I get what you were trying to do here. Very artistic.

I like the idea and simplicity but I feel there is a little bit too much of empty space here, the reflection is too close to the border while there is too much space above the heron's head. A slight head turn towards us would have been ideal

Joe apart from maybe a tad off the right this ticks all the boxes for me, wonderful image.

As an image for this months theme, I think this works very well. I would agree with a slight variation on the crop though as suggested above.

The head angle wouldn't be ideal for a 'regular' image, but on this occasion and knowing what you're trying to achieve I think it's fine

I really like these artistic images you are showing us Joe.
I am OK with your comp but could see a version with a sliver off the right.
Do you have a bit more room at the bottom? Or maybe, move your signature to the lower RHC to give some room for the reflection.
If you do have more room at the bottom, they I would crop the same amount off from the top.
My other suggestion would be to decrease the contrast slightly on the bird.
    A fine image to view!

Hi Joe, you are really making use of this month's theme - another great high key result. I like the curled plumage around the wing, and nice to see the colours on the Heron. I do like that single blade of grass. Comp wise, I feel there is too much space on the right, and I would move the heron a little more towards the middle of the frame. Your repost has sorted out the bottom.
