    First big thanks to James for a truly wonderful day out on his famous boat !!! We had the best time and many, many photo opportunities.

    This image of the caspian tern was a first for me as I have not had many chances to see these beautiful birds. They are quite vocal and just awesome to watch. As well as the caspains there were many other varieties of terns.

    Nikon D300
    Nikon 300mm F2.8
    ISO 200
    1/1000, F10
    manual mode.

    Love the image Judy !! Very elegant and lots of detail I like how you increase the dof to cover the entire wing !!! Big Congrats !!!!

    I'd try and open the shadow in the left wing.

    What a graceful bird you've photographed Judy. Love the down wing and the crop. Good job with the exposure too.

    Very cool. Caspian Terns are quite uncommon for us up here. Well done, and nice choice of crop :-)

    Nice capture Judy. Love that red beautifull bill and the almost floating pose of the tern. Too bad that the dark area of the left wing overlaps with the black cap.
