    Default Pyrrhuloxia

This pyrrhuloxia flew in during the best (and last) light of the day. I like the perch so I included a little more in the crop than I normally would.

Nice work Doug. I like how the bird and the BG have similar colors. Agree the including more of the perch balanced the image out well.

I like that we can see how the lower mandible is squared off! Great photograph Doug. Good of you to include more perch.

Doug that is what I call a cute bird!! Love the light, the opened bill and the raised crest. BTW in my monitor the bill looks unsharp, maybe another round of USM to the bill would do the perfect job ;-)

    Hi Doug,

What a lovely looking bird. You did an excellent job with the composition, details and exposure. Bill looks fine in my calibrated monitor.

That bird and perch go together well! Another winner, Doug. Might bring down the hot spots on the bill a bit.
