Found this dragonfly pretty well camouflaged among the vegetation this morning.

    Allen:

A lovely young lady. The leaf provides a nice background.

To my eye the tail and abdomen are sharper than the head.

The wing shadows are rather cool.

    Cheers

I have seen these around the pond but they haven't landed anywhere to get a shot of them! Nice image, I agree with Randy that the abdomen is the sharpest although I find the eyes often have this look of being soft even whey you can see that the individual facets of the eye show some of their structure in your image.

A fine shot Allen the right eye is a little soft, that is because it is so big! I am not sure how close you were but maybe a little more distance between you and the subject would cure the DOF.

Very nice Allen. I like the diagonal position and the wing positions. I agree withe the others re DOF, but this is a good capture nevertheless.

I love the big in the frame look here, to enjoy all the detail. The BG is lovely without competing for attention. Very nice!

I think that the details are good, I like the greens on the dragonfly and leaves and the nice BG. This is well done.
