Excellent pose captured in soft light, Will. I would loose the long OOF stem going towards the breast of the bird on the left.
Superb image in low lights. Very nice pose, details looks beautiful, nice BG.
I am not sure about composition, but I will prefer horizontal, thought it looks beautiful.

Satish.
Excellent details and pose. I like the comp too. Great IQ given the ISO. Well done.
Too central for me Will, personal choice and as others have said couple of loose stems removed would help....
Very nice! I'll trade some of my harsh light for your soft light!
Agree on that OOF stem -- but it's a lovely shot either way!
I really like this.
Great IQ on the bird.
As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted the OOF bright leaf approaching the breast to be removed. Glad to see the others agree.
Perfect HA.
Well done,
Gail
Another little gem Will I like the composition and setting. I enjoyed the image.
Beautiful bird and I love the high in the frame placement. The perch and the blades or grass all around are lovely. Nice light and BG.
Nice image, Wil. I like the composition, color, and feather detail. I echo the comments regarding the out of focus leaf. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Will good to see you getting out and about, irrespective of the weather.
I would still push that ISO for more SS, not much difference in IQ, but the image would be better. The environment 'is what it is', a very natural location one. If this is cropped then I might thing about making it slightly smaller in frame, doesn't always have to fill the frame.
