I managed to get a few images before the chick's head disappeared down it's mothers neck. Not a pretty site when it comes out!

    Jon:

The soft light has really helped show excellent detail and color in the dark feathers, often lost in brighter light. The interaction with chick is great, even if their table manners leave something to be desired.

Very effective shooting angle. The thumbnail doesn't do the image justice.

    Cheers

Very nice indeed. Good interaction, and good details in the plumage. The green eye is striking. Although not too bad I'd still consider smoothing out the two pale areas in the BG - one touching the head and the other touching the wing.

Wonderful feeding behavior captured! Black feather details are spot on. Obviously not an easy capture, but you picked the perfect angle/position.

I'll chime in! You captured a special moment between mom and chick! Details in the blacks are so very well done. TFS!

Wonderful capture! I'd fix or crop the bright white area on the right edge. Not a lot happening in all the space on top -- some of it removed could make the birds even more prominent.

    Love the interaction captured.
The soft light and your correct exposure really make the blacks sing!
    Love that baby!
I would crop a bit off the top.
    Otherwise, no nits from me!

A superb capture but with this image I think you need to lose a bit off top to help focus more on the birds IMHO.

The thumbnail didn't do this one justice! A big winner in my book. Excellent interaction and techs. I love their cozy home.

Hi Jonathan, lovely interaction and behavioural aspect, agree on some off the top, but would darken the FG a fraction, Graduate filter would do the job nicely.
