    Very nice Mike.
Like the grasses in the BG a lot.
    Excellent IQ, exposure and POV.
The eye is so nice and clear.

Ditto Gail's comments! Quite nice sliver of DOF....especially on the sand. And yet the bird is well focused! Maybe see about a tad more detail in the upper chest feathers....but really, just simply trying to find something to nit pick....which isn't easy with such a nice image!

First class Mike, the detail and exposure is spot on. I like the sand covered bill showing how busy the bird is.

Very good low angle, and I love the sandy bill! The BG vegetation works really well, and great that the plover stood right where a slight dip on the ground made the feet visible. If anything I would have preferred a slightly more profile view of the tail end area, but very nice overall.

I love the grasses in the background and the pose is good as are the techs. Nice work.
