    A rarity here in Scotland, the sun, not the bird It has been non stop rain for days, and to be raining all weekend aswell.

    Will:

    The lighting is very nice indeed, like the slightly tousled hairdo, catchlight, bill drip.

    I rather like the tiny flowers popping up, the darker debris, not so much.

    In this situation, since the bird was parallel to you, if you had time, I would have tried a few frames wide open to reduce the impact of the debris a bit more. Easy for me to say in retrospect, and I don't always remember to do it myself in similar circumstances, but I do often shoot a series at different f/stops of the same subject to look for the best result.

    Beautiful light on this little one, Will. The pond has just the right amount of vegetation to make the setting nice.

    Oh yest I like this one Will, the light and the setting looks beautiful. I don't know if you have a little more space on the left if so I would add just a bit.
