Later on Sunday morning, a barred owl pears out at me from around a tree before going off to sleep for the day.

Hope everyone had a great weekend,

    Steve

Great find setting and BG. I would give it more room top and bottom and sharpen the bird some more. What ISO did you use?

    Nice capture Steve,
Agree with the room at top and on the bottom of your frames. I would sharpen the eyes a bit more...:D

Agree with all of the above but love the pose and direct eye contact in this image. Was a touch of S/H used in your editing as well as curves ? This would make it pop just a tad more. How exciting it must have been to see this beauty. Thanks for sharing Steve.

Great pose and eye contact. The tree bark looks sharper than the bird as it is, Selective sharpen and blur for a more balanced image, you have got lots of potential here.

    Hi Axel,
Thanks for the advise on this one. I used 400 ISO.

Very nice Steve but I have to agree with Axel. Looks like you have room to include the tail.
