Wonderful calling pose and gorgeous looking bird. Composition and techs look fine to me, well done. Regards, Ian.

    Hi Gary,

This is a very pretty little bird - i've never seen one of these before. Love the colours and the simple image design, great calling pose as Ian has noted.
Maybe you could tone the brightness down a little and I think I am seeing a slight halo around the head.
I would be delighted with this!

Lovely sining pose, nice perch...great subject! Lots of details. I agree it is a a tad bright, and very cold as far as WB goes. For the repost I darkened the midtones a bit, and added reds to the color balance.

You've captured an excellent pose, Gary. The extra warmth that Dan added works nicely for me. Not sure if you did any cloning etc. but there are visible artifacts under the rump and the bottom right corner area that I would revisit.

very nice pose, the OP has a strong blue cast which Dan fixed in his repost.

Wonderful subject and great singing pose.
I agree with the above comments and would also suggest a bit more sharpening around the eye area. It is sharp but not "tack sharp".

The repost incorporates brightness reduction and improved sage brush removal technique. I have added a bit of red. I do not want to loose the sage brush bg.

the repost still has a blue cast. the vegetation looks a bit blue rather than green. Dan's repost got the colors right
