Hi all , caught his Gannet close to landing in the rookery of Helgoland Island (Germany) .
I had two two days of gorgeous weather while spending my time at the rookery . But wind was blowing not that good for these guys , so there was not that much of flight activity to my surprise even they were having chicks in the nests.
But i managed to get some flight shots.

Hi Andreas, love the splayed feet on approach, together with the outspread wings and fanned tail. Well exposed on the whites, and the Gannet pops nicely against your sea BG.
Very nice color palette and the image is tack sharp and exposure is perfect.
I do wish that the foot didn't merge with the far wing and for a little better view at the eye.

I really like the color of the water and the birds colors against it. Wish for a bit better eye contact but the colors do make the shot. Well done.
