Being one of the target birds while in Lima before our flight to the Lowlands of the Peruvian Amazon, I wanted to capture a number of different poses perched and in flight, of this uniquely designed bird. Because of the white mustache and yellow folds at the base of the red beak, I wanted to show a partial head on displaying both sides simultaneously, not to mention his red webbed feet. A variation on Bill's beautiful portrait posted earlier. A lifer for me. C&C welcome.

Hi Geoffrey you captured this very pretty well , i like the dark back drop making the bird stand out nicely . Lovely details and overall color/tones in the subject .
The rusty metal pech is not ideal from my POV , but sometimes we have to take it as is .

Hi Geoffrey, great head on capture which shows off his unique features so well. I like the inquisitive head turn, well exposed, and the darker BG works well.

Inspite of the man made perch, I'm really loving this one Geoffrey. The dark BG adds so much to the mood of the image. The bird is amazingly beautiful. Excellent image.
