Hi all , half of the year is done and i have seen some great stuff over this period .
I will leave the June and take the last opportunity for posting a Duo tone B/W of my seals .
Image taken on recent trip to Helgoland .

    Canon EOS 1Dx
    EF 200 - 400 IS L at 442 mm with TC engaged .
    Handheld

    F 8 ; Iso 16000; 1/2500 sec ; Auto Iso ; man exp

Processed with DPP 4 and PS CC 2015; conversion through a script i own and reduced the DUO tone for a lower coloration . Cropped for comp .

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous thread

    Cheers Andreas

Hi Andreas. The textures and tonal contrast really make this guy pop!
It works well for me - nice deep blacks and bright whites. And the look is priceless!

Hi Andreas - Another well done seal portrait with a low pov. The conversion works for me as well. I like the way the sand shows up all over him.

Yep, it works Boetie, ISO 16000 and all! I like the textures here, very much. This would print so well.

Super shot, lovely expression on the Seal's face, framing, presentation, tonality. Well done Andreas! Congrats my friend!

    Warmest regards,

Hi Andreas, to me the subject needs to lend itself to any conversion and take it up a gear. sadly I feel this works better in colour oppose to the conversion, just my tastes.

Thanks Steve for your comment , as always much appreciated , but actually i never will get your view when an image lends itself into a conversion , funny you said that to most of my seal images that i converted into a B/W , so for you the seals seems to be not the greatest B/W subjects ,
But no big deal for me , will take your view as posted .

    Thanks again , Andreas
