Very cute, love these stances and a good low angle Richard.
I would have liked a tad more space below (feels a bit tight there).

Hi Rich - Funny before I read either comment above I thought - a little more room below and a little more sharpening on the face/head. So Morkel and Peter have covered my suggestions. Again a nice low pov and I like the look back pose. Nice bg too.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Great image, Richard and wonderful creatures Meerkats are. Would love to see these cuties in person one day. You've captured the sentry stance beautifully in the warm light.

very cool shot Richard., I like the alert pose, low angle, and composition. Looks like some cloning trails on the left? I could be wrong.

Thanks for the comments everyone! Appreciate the input. Will add to the bottom and sharpen the face.
Raymond, no cloning done. (Thanks a bundle for your comment!)

    Hello Richard,

Aaaa, so very cute, and check the soil on its nose! Sweet capture...Did you have quite harsh light? This makes me think of the Kalahari...Perhaps you could have gone down to ISO 200 here?

Would love to see an RP with a tad more sharpening and maybe some extra detail to be extracted from the face. Love the POV and the expression is priceless - I adore these guys, kindly post some more images if you have!

Lovely capture, BG and colours alike, enjoyed viewing:)

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Hi Richard, the low POV is perfect and something, we should try to strive for, as getting to eye level with your subject often greats a better bond with the viewer. More space to the left (to run into), a little more below and less above for me. Agree on the additional sharpening. Think f/5.6 would have been OK, and even dropping the ISO 1/3200 is a little high.

    TFS
