This is screaming for a vertical comp IMHO!
The landing pose is nice and the clouds in the sky add a lot.
Did you run NR on the perch? It seems very "smooth".
I would try to pull up some detail in the very black part of the perch if you can. Because the shadow is right at the bottom of the frame it pulls the eye down.
    Good exposure!

I agree with Gail, a vertical composition would really help this great capture. Well done on the exposure

Great timing on this one, Joe. I like the landing pose and the raggedy perch.

    Yeah Joe! Vertical!!!!!
Wish the ibis' wings were in the full up position, that would've rocked even more.
Very good pose though still. Is the head 100% sharp in the RAW file?
Maybe I am just really tired and cannot see well enough.
You've got a huge dust bunny (or two) in the cloud too!
    Thanks for sharing mate!

Thanks everyone for viewing, commenting, and suggesting improvements. I have a vertical crop, one of the options I explored. I fixed the dust bunnies, thanks Akos for being another set of eyes. Thanks again, very much appreciated.
