    Ha, not a self portrait, though some may think so.

    Photographed a few years ago now, just pulled it from the archives for a final entry to this month's theme of white.

    Canon EOS 1DMkIIn, 500/4L IS USM + 1.4x
    Av mode, evaluative metering, -1/3EC
    Hand held, full frame
    ISO 500, f/5.6, 1/6400th

    The IQ, sharpness and detail in this image are absolutely excellent.
    Love the clean green BG that really makes the bird pop..
    Exposure is absolutely textbook perfect.
    My only suggestion to improve this image would be to consider removing the debris from the tip of the bill but I have to say I like it as is .

    Hi mate, now this is what I call white - brilliant exposure, good DOF with the sharpness spot on, and that eye pops so well. Love the hint of left over feathers on the end of the beak. Great work.

    There were Geese at one of our local spots, and they have disappeared.

    For a "selfie", it's pretty darn great! The thumbnail certainly doesn't do justice to the exquisite detail here. Colors, exposure, comp work beautifully.
