Default Burrowing Owl in the Sweet Light

Here's a photo from the other morning. There are baby owls all over the colony. This parent was watching over the area from a slightly higher vantage point to ensure the safety of its family.

Doug, This is my dream picture of a BO. Perfect light, direct gaze, high perch that allows for a great BG.
Excellent comp with perfect placement of the owl in the frame.
    Just love this one !
Absolutely no nits from me!Would be thrilled to have this in my files.

Very nice Doug with super light. We only had a few days with our owls which have now disappeared, glad you have so many to work with, hope to see more of your images.

I liked this when you first sent it to me and I like it even more looking at it again. The light is perfect and the pose on that cool perch and those perfectly lit eyes make this one special. Well done and I'm glad you found a nice colony of birds to play with.
I might have to come to AQ to shoot with you now:) See ya Soon
