Default Hey, You Get Off'a My........

Locally we've had some unexpected and seldom seen visitors. Earlier in the summer a Little Egret, showed up and has been seen off and on for a month. Little Egrets are normally found in Southern Europe, Asia and Africa but they are a rare visitor to the Atlantic Coast.
Its been hit and miss with this bird, some days easy to find, then it disappears for a few days only to show up again in a different place.

Last week I was on the 8th hole, my phone rang and it was a friend Wade telling me that He and Hank had found this bird again.

As soon as I finished my game, home grabbed my camera, off I went in search of the egret. Below is one of the better images.

I used Topaz Clean, then the Vivify Effect in Fotosketcher on the image. Finally I used my burnt edges action.

    Thanks for looking.

Hi Paul, you captured a lot of action in this one. I like the use of the effects and the burnt edges. The framing feels a little tight on the right. Great that you got to capture this little guy so far away from home!

    I agree with Kerry's comments.
I love the position of each bird, and your title makes me see the photo in a humorous way. The wings of the in-coming bird are particularly interesting.
Glad you were able to photograph these.

I like how the birds are moving diagonally through the frame. And the positioning is unusual and refreshing. I wonder about a flip as we tend to see things l to r. Just an idea. You are a true birder to leave your golf game!!!!!

Paul, you captured some great action. I particularly like the larger bird ( ? Great Egret ).
