    Hi Hazel
It's difficult to offer constructive feedback without you providing any shooting info, e.g. techs etc.
It appears to be a nice record image, but it lacks clarity, detail and sharpness. The light is a bit everywhere unfortunately creating some highlighted areas and shadows that don't quite make a pleasant scene.
But the bird has a nice pose and almost a very good HA.

    Hazel:

Akos summed it up nicely. We can really provide some useful insight if we know the tech details in the creation of this image.

The balance of bright like behind the bird, and him in shadow was always going to be a challenge, no matter what settings you used, unless fill flash was available.

Keep them coming, but add the techs please.

    Cheers
