I took this image with my wife's combo as we believe hers would focus better than mine.
At the end the comparison (switching gear between the two of us was inconclusive)
    Thanks for looking.

I am not sure the head area is sharp enough at this shutter speed.
The BG has a lot of strange looking artefacts, kind of posterised, jagged shapes especially to the left of the tail and lower wing. The dark areas.
Was this a large crop at all or perhaps something with the PP?

Nice action nevertheless, great to see the spray of water coming off the bill.

    Thanks for sharing Karl!

    Karl:

Very dynamic shake off pose, got to love Terns. Strong punch of color from orange bill against the green background, with the spray, all good.

Nictitating membrane closed, as often the case with flaps and shakes. ( I see this a lot with loons)

Some motion blur, but the overall impact is strong.

    Cheers

    Randy

the pose is excellent and dynamic but the IQ has suffered from what appears to be soft focus unfortunately.

Very nice timing. Good exposure and action. The artifacts and noise on BG distracts a tad.
