    catching a fish.
    I took this picture freehand from a real fisher boat, a new kind of photgraphy for me, but it was great !!!
    Picture was taken on a greater lake in Germany

    1DX, 600/4 II, 1/2000sec, ISO 800, f:4.5
    Hope you like it a little bit..and i`m interested in your opinions.

    I would call this "almost".
    Bird is sharp but head turned, a better sharper splash would also be nice and I would clean up the water if
    all else were good.....

    I like it as is, to me the head angle is irrelevant as it is an action shot so the bird cannot be expected to be looking at you.

    The only thing is I'd remove the straight, intruding, line about 1/3 down along the right edge (down from the top), it sticks out like dogs' you know what.

    Hi Eric, great timing here, and shooting from a boat - well done. I like the forward wing position, sharp, and Im fine with the splash - the main focus is on the bird.
